I spent so much time trimming down my resource box- only to find out that it was STILL too long. Is the length without space? Why is it so short. How are people really going to find out about our sites if the about the author is so small?
Hi Lianda,
Thank you for contacting Content Crooner! Remember that the key point to a good "About the Author" box is simplicity! The purpose of the "About the Author" box is to direct readers to your website, so include one or two links and brief personal information which establishes you as an expert.
For the "About the Author" box without html coding, the character limit is 300.
For the "About the Author" box with html coding, the character limit is 500.
As far as the character limits, these guidelines are meant to help your articles meet publishers' guidelines. Publishers are extremely picky about what they distribute and Publishers have rules about how long the "About the Author" box can be. Each Publisher has the right to accept or deny your article based on their own company's standards. Therefore, following these guidelines helps make sure that your articles are published!
I hope this information helps, please feel free to come to us with any future questions or concerns. Have a nice day:)
